Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 2026

1. Introduction

Revvie ("we", "our", "us") operates the Revvie platform, which connects GitHub and Slack to deliver PR notifications, gamified code reviews, and AI-powered nudges. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

2. Information We Collect

  • Slack workspace data: workspace name, user display names, user IDs, and channel information required to deliver notifications.
  • GitHub PR metadata: pull request titles, authors, reviewers, review statuses, and comment activity. We do not access source code.
  • Usage analytics: feature usage, gamification scores, and interaction data to improve the service.
  • Account information: email address and authentication tokens provided during the sign-up flow.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Delivering PR notifications to the correct Slack channels and DMs.
  • Calculating gamification scores and generating leaderboards.
  • Sending AI-powered review nudges and daily digests.
  • Improving and maintaining the service.

4. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party APIs to provide our service:

  • Slack API — to send and receive messages in your workspace.
  • GitHub API — to receive webhook events for pull request activity.

Each third-party service is governed by its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data required for integration.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you disconnect or delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You may also revoke Slack or GitHub permissions at any time through those platforms' settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via Slack or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
